Privacy notice
Short version: your details are used to reply to you and for nothing else, they are never passed to your team or to any third party, and you can have them deleted whenever you want.
Who is responsible for your data

What is collected
Only what you type into an enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, and optionally your company name, revenue band, the nature of your enquiry and a message.
Each submission also records which page of this website you sent it from. That is used to understand which pages generate enquiries and to make sure the reply is relevant. It is not used to profile you.
If you book a call, that booking is handled by Calendly and is subject to Calendly’s own privacy policy.
Why it is collected and the lawful basis
Your details are used to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to continue a conversation about selling, partnering on or buying a business. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have contacted a business expecting a reply.
You are not added to a mailing list, and no marketing sequence is sent to you unless you separately ask to receive something.
Who it is shared with
Enquiry emails are delivered by Resend, an email delivery provider, and are received in a standard business mailbox. The website is hosted on Vercel. Both process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Nothing you send is shared with your team, your customers, your competitors, brokers or any third party outside those providers. Confidentiality is the point of the service, not a courtesy.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for up to 24 months afterwards, because acquisition conversations frequently restart a year or two later. Ask at any time and your details will be deleted sooner.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being used. Email lee@verdanicapital.co.uk and it will be actioned within one month.
If you are not satisfied with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and does nothing with your data for advertising purposes.
It uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Analytics cookies are only set if you press Accept on the cookie bar. Until you choose, and if you press Decline, no analytics cookie is stored and Google receives no identifier for you. Your choice is remembered in your browser, and clearing your browser storage for this site will bring the bar back so you can change it.
Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation on and advertising features off, so it is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
The Calendly booking widget sets cookies when it loads, which are necessary for the booking to work.
This notice describes how the site behaves today. It is written to be accurate rather than exhaustive. If you need a specific contractual confidentiality undertaking before sharing figures, ask and one will be signed.
